- Salvador Dali -
in Voluptas Mors. Human Skull Consisting of Seven Naked Women's Bodies.
Photographed by Philippe Halsman after a drawing by Dali,
1951.
A famous collaboration between the two, In
Voluptas Mors, was the surrealistic portrait of Dali beside a large skull,
in fact
a tableau vivant composed of seven nudes. Halsman took three hours to
arrange the models according to a sketch by Dali.
Part of the picture was used in the academy award winning film, Silence of the Lambs.
